Hello there!
Here you will learn how to sync your local Synology NAS with your Flaneer Cloud Files using CloudSync.
(💡 Contact Flaneer Support to get the access keys to sync your NAS !)
Flaneer bases its Cloud Files infrastructure on AWS S3, to sync your Synology NAS with Flaneer Cloud Files, you will do so through Cloud Sync.
🔑 Access Key: The access key id for the folder you want to sync
🔐 Secret Key: The Secret Key for the folder you want to sync
💾 Bucket Name: The Bucket Name for your organization
📁 Folder Path: The folder path inside of the bucket of the folder you want to sync
❗ Do not share those with anyone and if you store those keys somewhere, make sure to use encryption.
In your Synology Interface, choose and install the package Cloud Sync :
In the configuration, choose Amazon S3 & S3 Storage:
Fill in the task setting :
👉 Connection name: Whatever you want
👉 Local Path: the local path of what you want to sync with your Flaneer Cloud Files
👉 Remote Path: Paste the path given by the Flaneer Team
👉 Sync direction: choose bidirectional
👉 Part size: leave the default option if you’re not sure
👉 Storage Class: Standard Storage
Configure the schedule :
👉 Choose when to sync your files, this is dependent on the size of your drive and your internet speed.
💭 Example: If you have a 100mb/s bandwidth and 10GB of file difference to sync every time you do the sync, it will take around 14min to do a sync
💡 And you’re done !
If the synchronisation isn’t working, verify those points:
👉 The Cloud Sync user has read and/or write access to your local folder
👉 The polling time is the time Synology will wait before downloading the differences of the cloud and local, so if you don’t see immediate changes, try reducing this time
