First of all, It is entirely possible to use a VPN on a Flaneer workstation, the only thing is that you need to configure your VPN to allow Split Tunnelling on a specific IP address: 169.254.169.254
This is an IP Address that’s use to communicate with Flaneer’s backend and cannot be blocked, otherwise Flaneer will not be able to recognize the machine.
Most VPN software providers will give an option for "split tunnelling", this is a policy that splits traffic into two "tunnels" based on something like the destination of the information, or the source of the information.
