How to improve my latency using Parsec on Flaneer ?

20/12/2022

A guide to use Parsec with your Flaneer machine

What is Parsec ?

Parsec is a software application that allows users to stream video games and remotely access their personal computers from any device with an internet connection. It is designed to enable users to play their favorite games on their own devices, even when they are not physically present at the computer where the games are installed.

To use Parsec, users must install the software on their computer and create an account. They can then invite other users to connect to their computer and play games remotely. The application uses low-latency streaming technology to enable users to control their computer remotely with minimal delay.

From which device can I run Parsec ?

Parsec is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and Raspberry Pi, and can be used on a variety of devices, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. It is commonly used by gamers to play games on computers that are not powerful enough to run the games natively, or to play games with friends who are not in the same location.

What are the benefits of using Parsec on Flaneer ?

You may reap many benefits from using Parsec with your Flaneer workstations, including but not limited to:

  • A direct Flaneer connection within the Parsec app.
  • Low-latency desktop sharing.
  • Relative mouse movement.
  • Up to 60FPS UHD playback.
  • H.265 codec support.
  • Encrypted Peer-to-peer connection (DTLS 1.2).

To easily start using Parsec with your Flaneer's machine, you can follow this step by step guide :

Step 1: Downloading Parsec on your own device

First step, you have to download the Parsec app on your own device.

Step 2: Installing Parsec on your Flaneer machine

Once you have downloaded Parsec on your own device, it's time to set it up directly on your Flaneer's machine.

Upon the installer’s launch, you have to select the "Shared" option to use the same Parsec account across your Flaneer machine and your connecting device.

That way, you won’t have to create separate accounts for Flaneer and your connecting device.
